Evaluations and Testing
I have a reputation for doing unusually thorough and accurate evaluations. Parents and adult consumers often say that these evaluations show them exactly what they need to do to help the individual succeed in school, work, and life.
ADHD assessments: Comprehensive evaluations to determine whether a person has Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and what else is going on in the individual's life. These evaluations always include detailed history, clinical interviews, cognitive testing, attention testing, behavior ratings, and review of records, including previous evaluations and report cards back to kindergarten. They also may include classroom observations, along with detailed evaluations of memory and learning, cognitive processes, and academic achievement. Detailed written recommendations are provided along with verbal feedback sessions. When these evaluations are conducted with adolescence and adults, they often include structured interviews.
Psychoeducational and learning evaluations: Carefully designed evaluations to determine the specific reasons that a child is displaying learning difficulties. These evaluations include intelligence testing, achievement testing, memory and learning testing, processing testing, detailed history, and detailed review of records. They also may involve classroom observations. Detailed written recommendations are provided along with verbal feedback sessions.
SAT accommodations: Specialized evaluations following though requirements of the College Board to determine whether a high school student meets criteria to receive testing accommodations on the SAT, or whether a college student meets criteria to receive testing accommodations on graduate school exams such as the LSAT or MCAT.
Vocational testing: Specialized testing and coaching to help a person change or choose college majors and/or career directions.
